Ring design

This has been a personal project. I have been looking to buy a ring as present for my girlfriend.
The problems I underwent with finding the perfect ring went from; not available in Silver till beautiful!, however not affordable. The idea of buying a ring kind of faded away, till I got the idea to make my own.
With the current technology this could not be too hard.

3D printing in silver has been done now for a while. Actually they print a mold and cast the silver. After getting the shape done and all the wall thickness within the required tolerance it was time to create a slot for the gemstone. Assembly took some small precision bending and fitting. It all worked out!

What a better gift than a one in a kind self-designed ring.
