Brake discs are heating up really quick caused by the high friction of the woven brake material and its counterpart. The disc its self turns with a high revolution and transmits the generated heat to the surrounding media—in this case air. I was asked to look into the replacement of a current I-beam in a house located in Beverly Hills. This I-beam supports a bearing wall of the 2nd floor. Due to a center post removal, this I-beam would not be sufficient in strength to support the total length of the second floor wall and its carrying weight. Calculations has been executed for its flexural design and deflection caused by the dead and live loads and their combinations. The calculated initial serviceability criteria cannot be exceeded for the replacement beam. A ´GOOD´ sign has been implemented in the calculation to give a head up if the calculation is equal or better than the initial serviceability criteria requirements. This has been a personal project. I have been looking to buy a ring as present for my girlfriend. The problems I underwent with finding the perfect ring went from; not available in Silver till beautiful!, however not affordable. The idea of buying a ring kind of faded away, till I got the idea to make my own. With the current technology this could not be too hard. 3D printing in silver has been done now for a while. Actually they print a mold and cast the silver. After getting the shape done and all the wall thickness within the required tolerance it was time to create a slot for the gemstone.
